Who uses a CMMS
CMMSs are used by a variety of industries ranging from retail to manufacturing, schools to chair-lift operators. The reason these types of companies utilise a CMMS is to achieve greater return on investment and greater up-time from their equipment.
How to use a CMMS
The key to running an effective CMMS lies in the client’s relationship with the provider. Training is an excellent tool to ensure users get the most out of their system. The initial set up can be quite daunting for a small company with a lot of assets as each must be entered into the system. However, when done properly, this can ensure a company gets the most out of their system.
When to use a CMMS
A company at any stage in their life-cycle can successfully implement and take advantage of a CMMS. New companies making use of a CMMS will grow with the system, creating a ‘company culture’ around effective maintenance. Established enterprises realise there is no greater time than the present to incorporate a system that is designed to save time, equipment and money.
