Aim of the two day training course

The aim of the MEX standard training course is to introduce users to the MEX system by applying a ‘hands on’ approach in understanding the set up and features of the system.   

Introduction

MEX has recently undergone extensive functionality changes in both MEX v12 and FleetMEX v5.  These changes have significantly enhanced the product as well as providing MEX users more options and potential to increase / improve their maintenance management capabilities.  The standard training course has been developed to give you the initial knowledge in understanding how to set up and use MEX effectively in your organisation.

How to Number Your Plant

  • How the Numbering System Works in MEX
  • Developing a Numbering System.
  • The Pros and Cons.

The Asset Register

  • Setting up Control Files relating to Assets
  • Adding Assets to the Asset Register
  • Duplicating, Moving and Renaming Assets

Work Orders / Work Order History

  • Raising Work Orders
  • Adding Trades/Spares/Tasks and Costs to Work Orders
  • Closing Work Orders and adding History
  • Adding Post Entry Work Orders

Requests

  • MEX Ops and Requests
  • Request Notification
  • Responding to Requests
  • Creating Work Orders from Requests

Easy Time

  • Adding employee details
  • Timecard Reports
  • Creating a Timecard
  • Processing a Timecard and viewing the results

MEX Today

  • Using Mex Today as a control centre

  • An overview of what was covered on Day 1.

Preventative Maintenance

  • Adding Calendar / Time based policies to the Preventative Maintenance System
  • Adding Usage based policies to the PM system

  • Using the Preventative Maintenance Scheduler
  • How to create and use Standard Jobs
  • Setting up and using Inspections

Equipment Readings

The Store System

Reporting

  • Printing a Report and using filtering parameters

The only pre-requisite for this course is a basic understanding of computer use.

The duration of the two-day standard training course is 16 hours
