MEX Report Writing One-Day Training Course Outline


Aim of the one day ‘Report Writing’ training course

The aim of the MEX Report Writing Training Course is to understand the MEX reporting module. Upon completion of the course you should be able to develop basic reports in MEX and FleetMEX. This will include the design, development and deployment of new reports as well as editing some existing reports.

*Please note that this course is for Basic Report Writing ONLY. Complex reports are not covered. If you choose to attend this course publicly, please be aware that we may be unable to help you achieve any specific outcomes, as we will have other attendees and the training is designed to suit a wide range of customers.

Introduction

MEX has recently undergone extensive changes in both MEX v12 and FleetMEX v5. One of the changes in the system is the inclusion of an integrated reporting module that allows the creation and editing of MEX and FleetMEX reports utilising the Dev Express Report Writer. The Report Writing Training Course has been developed to allow users to create and edit their own basic reports.

The One Day ‘Report Writting Training’ course includes these topics:

One Day Report Writing;

  • Introduction to, and overview of the Database Structure
  • Overview of Table Relationships
  • Introduction to designing reports
  • Exporting, restoring & importing reports
  • System and User Reports
  • Report Data Sources & Creating Queries
  • Editing existing reports & creating new reports
  • Using SQL and Predefined Data sources

NB: Please be aware that running this course privately will necessitate certain equipment and/or technical requirements. If you feel that you may not be able to meet these requirements, please contact us to find out what options are available to you.

The duration of the MEX Report Writing training course is 8 hours.
