Aim of the one-day Stores training

The aim of this training is to understand the Stores module and how store items are integrated into MEX

Introduction

The primary role of the Stores module in MEX is to assist the process of materials management.  This is achieved by providing an inventory of spare parts, the allocation of parts through the Store or a Work Order, re-ordering of parts through the creation of Purchase Orders and Store specific reporting. 

What you will be able to do by the end of this course

  • Populate the Stores Control Files
  • View and understand the functions of the Stores Catalogue
  • Add spares into the Store Catalogue
  • Add Suppliers to Store items
  • Associate Store items with Assets (APL)
  • Perform a Stock-take by creating Stock-take templates
  • Create Requisitions
  • Create Reservations
  • Reserve and Requisition parts through Work Orders
  • Issue / Return Spares to/from the Store
  • Create a Purchase Order / Standing Order
  • Create automatic Purchase Orders to Replenish Stock
  • Perform Purchase Order Receipts
  • Perform Invoice Matching
  • Review the Approval / Financial Delegation Process
  • Use MEX Today as a Store control centre
  • Review Stores Reports

The duration of the one-day stores training course is 8 hours

The training course can be run privately or you can attend publicly when they are presented in your region
