MEX appoints new leader to grow global portfolio

Australia’s leading computer maintenance software (CMMS) provider MEX has appointed a new Operations Manager to grow the company’s global business portfolio by 25 percent during the next 12 months.

Exporting its innovative solutions worldwide, the Brisbane-based company services 4,500 of the world’s largest corporations in Australia, Asia, the United States, Europe and South America.

MEX’s clients include Origin, Big W, Colgate-Palmolive, Leighton Contractors and P&O.

Brendan Collins will manage MEX’s strategic growth plans, including bolstering its industry profile and building its global business operations.

MEX CEO Steve Ninnes says he is confident Collins’ extensive experience and industry networks would be a strong base to grow the company’s operations.

“Brendan’s knowledge of MEX and its products spans over 17 years, having previously worked as the company’s Accountant and Business Development Advisor,” Ninnes says.

“As an experienced business development advisor, Brendan’s main goal will be to improve MEX’s market identity, both domestically and internationally, and grow the company’s business,” he says.

Before joining the MEX team, Collins worked in the finance, information technology and property sectors.

During his career, he has set up three successful accounting practices, one financial planning firm and managed over $14 million worth of property developments.

A Certified Practicing Accountant and a registered Tax Agent, he has also designed and implemented financial computer systems for a number of high profile businesses.
